Minutes for the March Meeting at the Welcome Stranger

Rod opened the meeting with an update on the skittle ally, as we had almost filled the part of the pub that we use, the new room will be a welcome addition, there may have to be a small charge for its use (heating an such) but it will open up what we can do.

          Minutes will now be posted on the web, if this does not suit some, PLEASE let Rod know.

While talking about the web, Paul Sleep is always updating the site, so please take time to browse…………….

Events, such as Okehampton, Buckfastliegh, will be posted, and again this part of the web site is updated almost weekly, so keep looking,

MVT ……AGM…18^TH of April, see Windscreen for details,

Drive it day, this always coincides with our annual start of season road-run, and for a change this year, we will be returning to old ground, with a run to Slapton Sands,

        The start point will be Buckfastliegh Station at 0930 for a 10sh   departure, more details at the next meeting, there are plenty of refreshment rooms at Slapton, but for those who want to take a packed lunch, it’s a great place for a picnic,

       On a sad note, Preston reported the passing of Tony (the Budge collection) Budge, Tony was a larger the life sort of bloke, and will be missed in the MV world.

 And as Rod has said before, once the formal (and that’s pretty informal) side of the the evening    is over, it’s a case of catching on gossip, taking to old friends, and saying that, it was good to see Carol Tidy at the meeting, Carol must be one of the longest severing members, I think he got his Jeep back in the 70s and joined the MVT (MVCG as it was then) about the same time
