The Devon Area MVT's first Buckfastleigh Military Vehicle Show (Formerly War on the Line) was held at the South Devon Railway "The Primrose Line" Steam Railway in 1989, when sixteen vehicles turned up for a "Bit of a Do" and it has been held every Summer since.

For 2008 camping will be available form Thursday 10th until midday Monday 14th. Breakfast will be available Saturday and Sunday mornings for exhibitors. There will be free train rides for those who dress in period uniforms and costume, and of course there will be the convoy to Widecombe on the Saturday evening.
