Recent events.

National Drive it Day road run,

This event went really well, meeting at the Welcome stranger (club house) the members set off in brilliant sunshine for a short run round East Dartmoor, calling in at Hay-Tor for an ice cream stop, returning to the Welcome via Bovey Tracy. On route we crossed over with members of the MVC on their road run, two lots of Military Vehicles passing on Devon lanes, “interesting” on arrival at the pub we sat down to a Sunday lunch, Vehicles attending, Two Bedford OYs, one Austin K2, One Jeep, two Motor bikes (M20 & a 16H) Land rover 101

South Devon Railway.

Austin K2 & M20 were supplied to the Railway for a school visit, Abbie was on hand to show the children round, a very good effort was made by the school to get the youngsters to dress as evacuees, with the kids asking some very in depth questions. (NB – I had a lovely letter from the Railway, asking me to pass on their thanks to Abbie and Colin, so thanks both and well done. Rod)
